Marine Complex Systems Ltd. at IMDS 2013

    Dear Partners,

    We are pleased to inform you that from July 3 till July 7 Marine Complex Systems Ltd. participated in the Sixth International Maritime Defense Show 2013 in Saint Petersburg, one of the leading exhibitions in naval and commercial shipbuilding and naval armaments.



     According to official data, 457 enterprises from 31 countries took part in IMDS this year. In total the exhibition pavilions were visited by 71 delegations from 51 countries including several Ministers of Defense and Navy Commanders-in-Chief. By the quays of the Sea Terminal and in St. Petersburg water area there were presented 36 ships, boats and vessels of the Russian Navy, Boarder Guard of the Russian Federal Security Service and enterprises-participants of IMDS.

     Also the ships of the Netherlands and Polish Navy were demonstrated to the participants of the Show. Official opening of the show was held under the lead of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy and the Governor of St. Petersburg.

      The main purpose of MCS`s participation in IMDS 2013 was to demonstrate the potential of the technical solutions for comprehensive outfitting of naval shipbuilding facilities. Technical solutions exhibited included the system of special-purpose poured deck coatings, structures of fire-proof bulkheads, decorative fire-resistant wall panels, marine furniture and equipment.

     The exposition of MCS received a high praise from the representatives of the shipyards and design bureaus. Within the framework of business and scientific work of the Show the specialists of MCS held a technical workshop “STRONGBOX SYSTEM”, during which they presented comprehensive solutions for projects of re-equipment of internal premises of ships and vessels.

 

      The working program also included participation of the company manager Mikhail Motsak as an expert in the round table meeting on the subject: “Seaman`s Household: How to Improve Living Conditions Onboard?”, which was organized by the Federal Information Agency RIA Novosti and was dedicated to the problems of habitability conditions on ships and vessel of the Russian Navy.

 

     During the exhibition MCS`s booth was visited by several hundreds of subject matter specialists – professionals in shipbuilding and foreign delegations, among which the delegation headed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Poland can be particularly noted. The Commander-in-Chief expressed interest in the system of comprehensive outfitting of the ship`s premises in regards to the ships and vessels being designed for the Polish Navy. We held business meetings with the representatives of all shipyards and design companies, which participated in the Show. We received highly praiseful evaluation on the high quality of the presented equipment from all the participants of the IMDS. As a result of the work on solutions for premises outfitting conducted at the exhibition and technical workshop, we have already received around 20 inquires for designs for new-building and modernized ships of the Russian Navy and support fleet.
